The gate valve is a gate with an opening and closing element. The movement direction of the gate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. The gate valve can only be fully opened and closed, and cannot be adjusted or throttled. The gate valve is sealed through the contact between the valve seat and the gate plate. 1. Gate valves are usually used in open-close situations, not in throttling applications.

2. The gate valve is usually installed on the horizontal pipe, with the valve stem vertically upward. It can also be installed in vertical pipes or horizontal pipes where the valve stem is not vertical upward, but special structures may be required according to the size of the valve diameter, application environment and specific conditions of materials. If the purchased valve is to be installed in a special way, the orientation of the valve should be indicated when ordering.

3. For the application environment where the temperature exceeds 260 ℃, it is recommended to use flexible or split wedge ram to prevent the wedge ram from being stuck due to thermal expansion. This may happen when the valve is cold closed and then hot opened.

4. When used in high-speed fluid (turbulence) or thermal cycling applications, in order to avoid loosening, the threaded seat ring should be locked and welded on the valve body. Please specify instructions when ordering.

5. After closing the gate valve, the valve stem should rotate slightly (1/8 to 1/4 turn) to release the valve stem load. This allows the valve rod to expand slightly, without jamming or damaging the valve, and will not affect the closing effect.

6. If the valve seat ring mounting lug is removed, the highly integrated closing gate valve can be used in the hot water outlet or in the pipeline system using soft iron. Please specify when ordering.

7. The pump station can use the valves that are not limited by the site, have a lot of sundries in the water, and are easy to block important positions. The manual and electric gate valves can be used; On the contrary, the butterfly valve can be used, especially in the pump room reconstruction project, so as to effectively use the space of the original pump room and achieve the purpose of increasing the water supply (drainage) volume on the premise that the area of the original pump room remains unchanged.
